Live4Life's 3rd Crew Camp was held from September 23-25 at the PGL Australia campground at Campaspe Downs. 46 Year 9 & 10 Crew members from eight Live4Life communities made the trip from all over the state to come together.

IN THE MEDIA - TWENTY-NINE ambassadors for the Youth Live4Life South Gippsland Crew had the opportunity to get together at the Korumburra Community Hub recently. This was the first time the crew, who represent all of South Gippsland's secondary schools. had the opportunity to meet all together.

IN THE MEDIA - Baw Baw Live4Life gathered at the West Gippsland Arts Centre recently for a planning meeting to discuss how the group would further implement health and wellbeing activities into schools throughout the district. Live4Life is a health promotion charity, using the Live4Life model to support rural and regional communities and their young people.

In June this year, six young Australians took on the renowned Stockholm Marathon and raised over $8000 for Live4Life. Ned Harrison and his fellow marathoners Sol Murray, Jett Beale, Kasper Hellmann, Tom Gleeson, Thomas Lempriere and Jack Gleeson took on the training as a fitness challenge, but soon realised it was a chance to do something more.

From nominations to identifying the shortlist, and all the way to the final selection, young people in each region were engaged at each step of the grant process, ensuring their input and perspectives were central to the decision-making and reflecting their genuine needs and priorities in mental health.

Today is WORLD SUICIDE PREVENTION DAY. The theme this year is "Changing the Narrative on Suicide".

Former Collingwood player Nathan Murphy has joined us to voice his support for youth mental health, asking you to play your role by getting involved with LAP it UP.

Live4Life Glenelg has developed a brilliant collaboration with Blue Light Portland, which gets Crew out in the community four or five times a year, having heaps of fun and also raising valuable funds for the local partnership.

Meet Mina – Crew4Life

Mina first became a Live4Life Crew member in 2018 in the Macedon Ranges and then joined Crew4Life in January this year.

Wear It Purple Day was recognised and celebrated in a very special way when Hepburn Crew visited Central Highlands Rural Health Aged Care. These awesome young people of Daylesford College spent the afternoon with residents, making friends, sharing stories, having some fun and promoting positive messages around mental health and self-care.

IN THE MEDIA - Club coaches, support staff and anyone interested are encouraged to attend youth mental health first aid training to support their young players. 

IN THE MEDIA - LIVE4Life Southern Grampians is seeking community members to become Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructors. Participants in the program will receive evidence-based mental health and suicide prevention training from professionals.

LAP it UP is a 4-week swim challenge from October 1-28 where you raise funds to support youth mental health in rural and regional areas. REGISTER NOW

In front of an audience of Year 8 students, four upstanding crew members were presented with their honorary Live4Life hoodies.
