Youth Advisory Committee

The purpose of the Youth Advisory Committee is to represent and embed the voices of young people within Live4Life, ensuring their perspectives, experiences, and ideas are integral to decision-
making processes in a formalised manner. Serving on the YAC empowers young individuals by fostering confidence in professional settings, enhancing their leadership and participation skills, and promoting a culture of inclusivity and diversity.

Youth Advisory Committee members play a key role in ensuring that the Live4Life organisation remains youth-centred by actively contributing to the development and improvement of Youth Live4Life initiatives, providing feedback, and advocating for young people. Through mentorship opportunities and engagement with organisational leadership, YAC members develop valuable
professional and leadership skills while building a supportive network of youth allies in addition to their fellow members in Crew4Life.

Furthermore, Youth Advisory Committee members raise awareness of youth issues, promote dialogue with the board, and contribute to creating programs and practices that reflect the lived experiences of young people. Positions on the YAC are designed to empower young leaders to drive meaningful change within Live4Life and the broader community.
