“Paint Your Own Path”
Live4Life Benalla was launched in 2017.
The Rural City of Benalla is a local government area in the Hume region of Victoria, located in the north-east part of the state. It has a population of over 14,000 and includes the towns of Baddaginnie, Benalla, Devenish, Goorambat, Major Plains, Swanpool, Tatong, Thoona, Warrenbayne and Winton.
The Live4Life model is delivered in partnership with three Benalla secondary schools, Benalla P-12, FCJ College and Australian Christian College, and a number of local community organisations.
The Lead Agency is Benalla Rural City Council.

Youth Mental Health First Aid® training for adults in Benalla
One of the most important ways adults can support young people in rural and regional areas is to undertake Youth Mental Health First Aid® training. It’s suitable for school staff and all other adults in the community, such as parents, grandparents, coaches, instructors etc.
Live4Life Benalla offers subsidised Youth MHFA® training opportunities for the Benalla community. In 2025, 26 adults in Benalla completed YMHFA®.

The Live4Life Benalla Crew
The Live4Life Benalla Crew is made up of students from across the three participating schools. Members of the Crew design, plan and deliver mental health promotion activities throughout the year.

2025 Crew theme
“Paint your own path”
Every year, the Crew creates a theme to capture the mental health messages they believe will connect with their peers and wider community. The Live4Life Benalla Crew’s theme for 2025 was "Paint Your Own Path". Including Benalla's iconic Art Gallery, the 2025 poster invites everyone to see their life as their own personal work of art and to celebrate their individual journey whatever it may be.
