With an Umbrella we can face the rain together

Live4Life was launched in Moira in January 2020 and implemented in the community until January 2025.

Located in the north-east of Victoria, Moira includes the towns of Cobram, Nathalia, Numurkah, Tungamah and Yarrawonga. The the traditional owners of the Barmah area along the Murray River are Yorta Yorta people.

Moira is bounded by the Murray, Goulburn and Ovens Rivers, incorporating a large part of the Murray Valley. The region is a major fruit, dairying and beef district with growing tourism and manufacturing sectors.

 

Live4Life Moira was launched in 2020 with eight local secondary schools: Cobram Anglican Grammar School, Cobram Secondary College, Cobram & District Specialist School, Nathalia Secondary College, Numurkah Secondary College, Sacred Heart College Yarrawonga, St Mary's of the Angels and Yarrawonga College P-12.

Lead Agency was Moira Shire Council in partnership with Berry Street, SalvoCare and Uniting Vic/Tas.

From 2020-2025, 2,486 secondary school students and 146 adults in the community received evidence-based mental health education.

…have undertaken mental health education through Live4Life Moira

 

Over five years, 201 young people volunteered for the Live4Life Crew to act as Mental Health Ambassadors in the Moira community.

The Live4Life Moira Crews 2020-25 were made up of students from each of the participating secondary schools. The Crews coordinated numerous mental health promotion activities throughout the years of implementation.
