Live4Life Speakers
Young people with unique skills and experience in peer-to-peer mental health communication
Young people are at the centre of Live4Life. In our experience, when young people are empowered to lead conversations, they deliver compelling, positive mental health messages that connect powerfully with other young people.
At Live4Life, our incredible young Mental Health Ambassadors are trained in public speaking and available to talk at your next event.
Crew Champions are young people who have been on a long Live4Life journey, starting with mental health education in junior high school, then volunteering as leaders and ambassadors in the Crew, and going on after leaving school to join the Crew4Life alumni advocacy program. Select members undertake further training and are employed to represent Live4Life as Crew Champion speakers.
Make a lasting impact at your event.
Crew Champions present stories that younger peers can relate to and engage with. Often thought-provoking, sometimes involving lived experience, presentations offer positive pathways through mental health challenges, delivered in a safe and encouraging manner, suitable for audiences 13+.
There are two types of Crew Champions, one type that talks about the model and positive mental health messages and one type that are personal story tellers that share their story about lived experience in a safe and supported way.
Presentations are between 10-30 minutes in length.
Youth Live4Life believes in remunerating young people for their time, lived experience and expertise. Please note costs for Crew Champion engagements may vary as per request.
