Live4Life Latrobe Valley launched in 2024, when it began delivering mental health education to the community.

Latrobe Valley is located in the Gippsland region in eastern Victoria. It covers an area of 1,426 square kilometres with four major urban areas of Moe, Morwell, Traralgon, and Churchill, and other significant settlements, including Boolarra, Callignee, Glengarry, Jeeralang, Newborough, Toongabbie, Tyers, Yallourn North and Yinnar.

Latrobe City Council is proud to take on the role of Lead Agency.

 

Live4Life is partnered with Baw Baw Latrobe Local Learning Employment Network, Berry Street School, Chairo Christian School, Department of Education, Gippsland Centre Against Sexual Assault, Gippsland Primary Health Network, Gippsland Youth Spaces Inc, headspace Morwell, Jesuit Social Services, Kurnai College, Kurnai Flexible Learning Option (FLO) School, Ladder, Latrobe Health Assembly, Latrobe Regional Health, Lavalla Catholic College, Lifeline Gippsland, Lowanna College, Ramahyuck District Aboriginal Corporation, St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School, Traralgon Secondary College, Victoria Police and YSAS Inner Gippsland.

Youth Mental Health First Aid® training for adults in Latrobe Valley

One of the most important ways adults can support young people in rural and regional areas is to undertake Youth Mental Health First Aid® training. It’s suitable for school staff and all other adults in the community, such as parents, grandparents, coaches, instructors etc.

Live4Life Latrobe Valley offers subsidised Youth Mental Health First Aid® training opportunities for the Latrobe Valley.

The Live4Life Latrobe Valley Crew

The Live4Life Latrobe Valley Crew is made up of students from across the participating schools. Members of the Crew design, plan and deliver mental health promotion activities throughout the year.
