Live4Life began implementation in Bass Coast and South Gippsland in January 2022 as a combined community across the two neighbouring shires. It was implemented in Bass Coast until January 2025.
South Gippsland continues to be a Live4Life community with the Lead Agent, South Gippsland Shire.
Bass Coast Shire is a local government area in southeastern Victoria. It includes the towns of Bass, Cape Paterson, Cape Woolamai, Corinella, Coronet Bay, Cowes, Inverloch, Kilcunda, Lang Lang, Newhaven, Rhyll, San Remo, Summerlands and Wonthaggi, as well as the historic locality of Krowera and Phillip Island. Traditional owners and custodians of the land are the Bunurong people.
…undertook mental health education through Live4Life Bass Coast and South Gippsland.
During the time that Live4Life was implemented in Bass Coast and South Gippsland as a combined community, 2164 secondary school students and 103 adults across the two shires received evidence-based mental health education.
71 young people volunteered to act as Mental Health Ambassadors in their community.
South Gippsland continues as a Live4Life community with the Lead Agency, South Gippsland Shire.
