On Friday August 2, 29 students from five South Gippsland schools participated in the Live4Life Crew Induction at the Korumburra Community Hub.

Students from Mary MacKillop Catholic Regional College, Mirboo North Secondary College, Foster Secondary College, Korumburra Secondary College and Leongatha Secondary College embraced the opportunity to become Live4Life crew members on the day.

The Induction Day is designed to allow the students to meet all the crew members from across Bass Coast and South Gippsland Shires, plan their mental health theme for the year and plan their launch activities.

The Live4Life Program has been proudly supported by South Gippsland Shire Council and Bass Coast Shire Council for two years, giving students in Year 9 an opportunity to learn more aout mental health and suicide prevention.

The goal is to develop their skills so they can better support their classmates and friends both at school and in the community. The Program also includes Mental Health First Aid Training for students in years 8 and 10.
