Moira Shire Live4Life crews have been recognised for their work tackling mental health problems. They are finalists in the 7News Young Achiever Awards in the ‘Group Achievement in the Community’ category.

Benalla’s Live4Life crew, along with counterparts from around regional and rural Victoria, have been recognised for their work tackling mental health issues.

A rural youth mental health program is set to be delivered in the region for the first time, with eight secondary schools taking part.Ballarat is set to be the 10th major location and the first regional Victorian city to offer the program called Live4Life.

Local young people from eight secondary schools across Baw Baw Shire will work together to raise awareness about mental health as part of the Baw Baw Live4Life program.

Benalla’s Gayle Golonski and her family are raising funds for Live4Life Benalla as a way of turning tragedy into something positive. Gayle set up the Lockie Project selling Easter eggs to raise money for local youth mental health initiative Live4Life Benalla.

The award-winning Live4Life program will roll out in eight secondary schools across the City of Ballarat in the coming months, focusing on increasing mental health knowledge amongst students, parents, teachers and other community members to reduce barriers for young people seeking help.

Congratulations to Susanne Lampitt who has been awarded the 'Live4Life Community Champion' of 2022! Susanne has had an enormous impact on the community around her. She has delivered over 300 Mental Health First Aid Courses.

After visiting the Live4Life offices in Woodend, Rob Mitchell MP, Federal Labor Member for McEwen, spoke to Parliament about meeting Live4Life Crew and staff, and the work we are doing in rural and regional communities.

Star Weekly: The incredible work of Woodend-based Youth Live4Life was in the spotlight once again last week. When Youth Minister Dr Anne Aly visited the Macedon Ranges on Friday, February 10, McEwen MP Rob Mitchell took the opportunity to show her the work the youth mental health charity was doing.
