LAP it UP has teamed up Josh’s Rainbow Eggs with a day of matched funding
Today is World Mental Health Day — a day to raise awareness around the world and mobilise efforts in support of mental health.
The idea for LAP it UP originated back in 2018 with a 2866 lap swimming challenge hosted by Sean McKinney and his daughter Kirsten — one lap for every life lost to suicide in the previous year. Sadly, Sean passed away after a long illness in October last year, but he had been thrilled to see his and Kirsten’s heartfelt community effort grow into the powerful Australia-wide campaign that is LAP it UP.

This year, LAP it UP has teamed up with young entrepreneur Josh’s Rainbow Eggs to remember Sean McKinney with a day of matched funding. Every dollar raised by LAP it UP swimmers from today will be doubled by Josh’s Rainbow Eggs in honour of Sean, up to $5000.
So let's dive in together on World Mental Health Day, pay tribute to Sean's legacy and double our efforts for young people's mental health in rural and regional communities.
Let's LAP it UP!
