Hepburn Crew's celebratory tour de force

Hepburn 2024 Crew

Live4Life Hepburn Crew held their Celebration Day event at Daylesford College on Friday 8 November.

Congratulations to Crew members Caitlin, Martha, Rose, Jaimie, Lucy, Tilli, Ludo, Zac & Callum who were there on the day to oversee an incredible, high-energy program of presentations and activities!

Guests and Year 8 students were greeted by the pulsing rhythms of Nimba-Drumming, blown away by the amazing circus duo Thomas & Taylor from Castlemaine, and entranced by Crew member Jaimie's beautiful singing. Along with the entertainment, there were important mental health messages — in particular the Year 8s performing a sensitive dramatisation of what to look out for and how to support a peer when they are experiencing mental ill health. And Sas and Steph from @movementzone / @movementzone got everyone bustin some hip-hop moves in the gym!

The event concluded with Martha and Ludo sharing their highlights from Crew Camp, an impromptu singalong, and then a slideshow showcasing some of the events and activities that Crew organised or took part in — visit to a local Aged Care facility as part of Wear It Purple Day, creating a mural for 'R U OK?' Day, engaging with Grades 5/6 to talk about self care activities, and volunteering at the opening of a local art gallery exhibition.

Whew! What a year!

And what an awesome celebration! Special thanks to speakers Nick Cowan – Acting Principal, Daylesford College, Bradley Thomas – CEO #hepburncouncil / @hepburncouncil, and Live4Life CEO Bernard Galbally. And a huge shout out to Bridget and Rachel for all your hard work!
