Announcing the Live4Life Youth Advisory Committee (YAC)
YAC members: Alannah Sander, Jewel Burchell-Robins, Zac Chu, Zinny Hunt, Mina Beverley, Laura Crozier, and Parker Tuckett
Live4Life is proud to announce the inauguration of the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) and the appointment of YAC members: Alannah Sander, Laura Crozier, Jewel Burchell-Robins, Mina Beverley, Zinny Hunt, Zac Chu and Parker Tuckett.
The first meeting of the YAC was held on Tuesday 25 November, attended by the the newly appointed members, Live4Life CEO Bernard Galbally, honorary member Board Director Pauline Neil, and Youth and Community Engagement Adviser Bridie Johnstone. It was a special first meeting, with a welcome from the CEO, the establishment of group expectations, discussing shared values, and adopting committee roles.
The purpose of the YAC is to represent and embed the voices of young people within Live4Life, ensuring their perspectives, experiences, and ideas are integral to decision-making processes. Members provide relevant feedback and expert advice to the Live4Life Board of Directors in relation to existing policies, procedures and other matters pertaining to the Live4Life model.
The role empowers young individuals by fostering confidence in professional settings, enhancing leadership and participation skills, and promoting a culture of inclusivity and diversity. Members play a key role in ensuring that the organisation remains youth-centred by actively contributing to the development and improvement of Live4Life’s initiatives, providing feedback, and advocating for young people.
Congratulations to Alannah, Laura, Jewel, Mina, Zinny, Zac and Parker on their appointment to the committee. We can't wait to see how these young leaders drive meaningful change within Live4Life and the broader community.
