Live4Life were pleased to attend the Victorian Community Achievement Awards in December as a finalist in the Mental Health and Wellbeing Award, sponsored by Awards Australia Charitable Foundation. Members of the Live4Life team from all across regional Victoria gathered to attend the ceremony, hosted by Awards Australia at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins

A big thank you to Rebekah Robertson from Ballarat Council, Sophie Dixon from South Gippsland Shire Council  and Kerri Pleydell-Sander of Western District Health Service in the Southern Grampians for joining us on the evening. Great to see everyone in person and celebrate a terrific occasion for all of the Live4Life communities.

It was a privilege to get an insight into the work of our fellow finalists, Bendigo District RSL, Art of the Minds, Alex Makes Meals and worthy category winner The Resilience Project. And wonderful to celebrate the incredible community contributions of so many brilliant individuals and organisations. While we didn’t win, we were very proud to represent our Victorian Live4Life communities on a special night.

As one speaker pointed out, everyone nominated across all categories is contributing to mental health by focusing on community service. We congratulate all the other nominees and winners and our heartfelt thanks to sponsors 7NEWS Melbourne and The Weekly Times.
