Help young people to become mental health advocates.

Did you know that suicide is the leading case of death in 15-24-year-olds in Australia? And in rural and regional communities, the suicide rate is 40% higher than metropolitan communities. Furthermore, 6 out of 10 young people living in rural and regional communities are unable to access mental health services.

Life was challenging enough before the pandemic, but the impact of COVID-19 has made life even tougher for our young people and increased mental health challenges.

Will you help us to support more young people?

Young people are at the heart of everything we do at Youth Live4Life, and students in years 9 and 10 volunteer to be part of our youth leadership program, the Live4Life Crew. Live4Life Crew members receive training and support to become youth mental health ambassadors, promoting positive mental health messaging, and breaking down the stigma in their schools and rural communities.

Crew Camp is an integral part of the Crew learning experience. It gives Crew members the opportunity to connect with their peers and develop skills as mental health advocates, lending their voices for change.

“I think this is the best experience I had this year. I almost feel like a completely different person. I was so happy sometimes that I wanted to cry. I am truly grateful that I, and other young people, have this chance because it will and has changed lives”  2022 Crew Camp participant

The feedback from the 2022 Crew Camp was overwhelmingly positive. Young people said they deepened their mental health knowledge, learnt how to support friends with their mental health, gained media, advocacy and public speaking skills and felt empowered to make change in their communities.

Can you make a life-changing gift today to support more young people to jump on the bus and attend the Live4Life Crew Camp in 2024?

Your donation will help pay for more young people to attend Crew Camp next year - our biggest Camp yet. Bringing together Live4Life Crew members from across Victoria to share stories, connect and develop skills and knowledge to take back into their lives and communities.

“Our young people have walked away feeling so confident and boosted, they are planning to speak about the camp with other Crew, peers and at their celebration event.  It has been a huge opportunity for them.” Crew Support Worker.

Yes, I want to donate today to support more young people to attend the Live4Life Crew Camp in 2024.

Please feel free to share our campaign. Together we can make a real difference in young people's lives.

All donations over $2 are tax deductible and every dollar makes a difference in saving young people’s lives.
