Crew and Crew4Life finalists in the Victorian 7 News Young Achiever Awards
Live4Life Crew at the Live4Life Crew Camp in 2024
Congratulations to the young volunteers of the Victorian Live4Life Crews, who have been announced as 2025 Finalists for The Victorian Government Group Achievement in the Community Award at the 7News Young Achiever Awards.
Great to see the incredible work these young people do as Mental Health Ambassadors in their schools and communities celebrated. Young people are at the heart of Live4Life and they are leading the way towards a better mental health future in rural and regional Australia.
The Victorian Government Group Achievement in the Community Award recognises young people who have worked together as a group to provide a service, program or project for other young people, which is based on consultation and engagement with young people and has resulted in positive, youth-led changes in a local community. The Crews' fellow finalists in their category are Ctrl Your Scroll, Very Special Kids Youth Advisory Group, and What Were You Wearing Australia.
But wait, there's more!
Also announced as Young Achiever Awards finalists are the members of Live4Life alumni group Crew4Life, who have been nominated for the Awards Australia Foundation Connecting Communities Award, which celebrates young individuals or groups who use innovative or new technology to drive grassroots, ‘real life’ initiatives that demonstrate genuine engagement and add long-term value to local communities. Launched in 2023, Crew4Life was instigated and developed by past Crew members keen to continue to support the work of Live4Life, by offering the opportunity to reconnect and promote mental health education and suicide prevention initiatives beyond school. Since then, a growing membership in the group has taken an active role in communities all around Victoria.
Crew4Life is joined by Blessing Bags Melbourne, Faiza Zeerak, Rumaysa Salman as finalists in their category. These incredible individuals and initiatives are making a meaningful impact in their communities, bringing people together and creating positive change. A huge congratulations to our finalists!
And good luck to everyone in all the award categories!
