Live4Life Reaches 20,000+ Young People

14 Communities; 21,023 Young People; 2,406 Adults; 1,163 Total Crew

In 2023 alone, over 6,000 young people received evidence-based mental health education. The total number of young people living in rural and regional communities who have received evidence-based mental health education since the program began in 2010 is now over 21,000!

In addition, 561 adults were trained in Youth Mental Health First Aid®, taking the total number of adults trained since Live4Life began to over 2,400. This means for every ten young people participating in Live4Life, there is now at least one adult fully trained in Youth MHFA® to support them in a time of need.

As a result of Live4Life, there are now more young people and adults in rural and regional Victoria who are able to identify mental ill health warning signs and know how to act. These are more than just numbers. Each Live4Life community adds to the critical mass of young people and adults educated in mental health. This influences broader attitudes and behaviours relating to mental illness. And that leads to sustainable and long-lasting generational change!
