Lots of hard work behind the scenes from the 13 members of Hepburn Crew saw their first ever Launch Event delivered with aplomb, offering a well-organised and energetic wellness program for Year 8 students and other guests on May 17 at Daylesford College.

Attendees heard from Crew members, who spoke exceptionally well about the Live4Life program, then from guest speaker Robbie Peime from SpinChat Australia who told his incredible story of recovery after a head-on collision at the age of 17 left him a paraplegic, and finally from Cr Tessa Halliday from Hepburn Shire Council discussing her lived experience on IDAHOBIT of staying true to your personal identity.

Crew also gave a fond farewell to Kayla Spence who has done a brilliant job as Live4Life Hepburn Youth Engagement Officer.

The Crew's theme for 2024 is: 'Be Aware About Self Care'. The next stage of Live4Life will involve all students in Year 8 participating in Teen Mental Health First Aid education.

A fantastic day was packed with loads of fun activities, including a sausage sizzle, live music from Daylesford College students, zumba sessions, martial arts, and loads more!
