Crew4Life's annual get together connects and inspires
Our third annual Crew4Life in-person get together on July 4 was another great opportunity to connect across widely spaced rural and regional communities, with Crew4Life members travelling from all over the state to converge on the Community Hub in Docklands for a day of brainstorming, discussions, and mentoring.

Brilliant to see passionate young people coming together to chat about mental health and wellbeing for rural and regional young people and their communities. Crew4Life used their time together to get stuck into four big questions:
What's important?
What's needed?
What does everyone need to know?
What do young people want and need?
Crew4Life welcomed Liam from Youth Engagement Project who conducted a highly energetic Public Speaking Workshop. It was loads of fun and hugely valuable to continue developing skills as Live4Life's youth mental health ambassadors. Youth Engagement Project is a not-for-profit organisation that provides support for educators, students, and youth organisations to ensure that young people feel prepared, engaged and empowered to take ownership of their lives.
Members also spent time developing 2026 Crew4Life theme, 'A resilient mind can take some time', sharing a message that acknowledges and elevates not only other young people but also their communities, and all who need a reminder that everyone is in this together. Next step is designing the artwork and poster, so look out for the launch of this over the coming months!
Crew4Life's reflections on the event show just how dedicated, passionate and kind these young mental health ambassadors are!
