Youth Live4Life opens EOI process to rural and regional communities across Australia for first time
Would you like the Live4Life program in your community? Youth Live4Life has opened its Expression of Interest process.
We are looking to engage with communities across Australia who would like to implement the award-winning Live4Life model.
Through funding support from the Australian Government and the State Trustees Australia Foundation, we will work with three Victorian communities and one community outside Victoria.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Spring into Winter Annual Dinner. It was a great success and so wonderful to catch up again with everyone in person! This was our third Annual Dinner and we have now raised over $80,000, with this year being our most successful to date. Your donations go directly towards helping us expand our work with rural communities. Here's a highlights package!
New inductees to Baw Baw Live4Life Crew
The Warragul and Drouin Gazette: A further 27 secondary students from throughout Baw Baw Shire have been inducted into the Live4Life Crew. The induction held at the West Gippsland Arts Centre is the first step for the students in years nine and 10 becoming community leaders and mental health ambassadors. They have committed to work collaboratively to reduce the stigma of mental ill health within their communities and decided on a theme for the year which will be announced at an upcoming launch function.

The Sentinel Times: Celebrating the first year in Bass Coast and South Gippsland shires, 45 Year 9 students from secondary colleges across the district participated in their crew induction today at RACV Inverloch.
Another win for Youth Live4Life
The Star Weekly: Youth Live4Life has been granted more than $750,000 over three years to support young peoples’ mental health and wellbeing across regional and rural Victoria. State Trustees Australia Foundation provided the grant to recognise the vital role Youth Live4Life plays as the only mental health education and youth suicide prevention model designed for rural and regional communities in the state. Youth Live4Life chief executive Bernard Galbally said the grant would help bring three new communities into the model.
Youth Live4Life awarded a State Trustees Australia Foundation Emotional Wellbeing grant
Youth Live4Life has been awarded a State Trustees Australia Foundation Emotional Wellbeing grant for $750,000 over three years. This grant will help us to expand our program into more rural communities.
State Trustees CEO, John Velegrinis, said Youth Live4Life plays a vital role as the only mental health education and youth suicide prevention model specifically designed for rural and regional communities in Victoria.
Macedon Ranges a mental health champion
The Star Weekly: Macedon Ranges council (MRSC) has been recognised for its unwavering commitment to improving the mental health of young people in the region. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Australia recognised the council with a ‘Mental Health First Aid Champion Community’ award, because of how hard it works to tackle the high rates of mental illness.
Live4Life launches on a high into 2022

Media Release: Live4Life to expand interstate in 2023
“We are thrilled to have secured funding to pilot Live4Life in one interstate region in 2023, and to activate our first interstate partnership by 2024” said CEO Bernard Galbally.
