Announcing the New Live4Life Logo

The new Live4Life Logo is officially launched!

Community and  youth participation are key principles of Live4Life. It was essential to apply our principles to the new logo design too. The benefit of this was an incredibly complex and rewarding process to get to this point and we could not have done it without the support of everyone in the Live4Life community.

Over six months, Live4Life chose to undertake a co-design process, led by regional and rural specialist agency, Redhanded. This involved a brand discovery survey and a number of workshops with current Live4Life Crews, as well as past Live4Life Crew members.

The resulting feedback from our Live4Life community — especially from the young people involved in the workshops – was both direct and insightful. The detail, thought and passion that everyone brought to the process had a significant influence on the final design and we couldn’t be more proud of the result.

The logo is designed to tell the story of Live4Life at a glance. With 4 colourful loops representing people coming together, the icon conveys that we are 4 life, 4 community, 4 empowerment, 4 people and 4 inclusivity. Each component of the icon represents a unique individual. The colours and font have been chosen to express a friendly, vibrant, fun feel. Overall, we think the components include flexibility to be used in a variety of ways in Crew themes — as clouds, or a brain, or thought bubble, for example.

Feedback on the logo design process:

“The process was incredibly inclusive and it was great that we were able to come back for multiple stages. It was great to see exactly where and how our voices and input were included at each stage and then in the final brand.” Kyle

“It very neatly represents the values of Live4Life in a fun sense.” Zara

“I appreciated the opportunity to share my opinions without bias. The process was great to be involved in.” Nathan

“It represents the four components of the model, can take the form of many things and is easy to remember.” Elizabeth

A huge thank you to all the young people who contributed to this process, the communities who provided essential feedback, the development work of the Steering Committee, the Live4Life staff, and also the team at Redhanded.
