IN THE MEDIA - Sentinel Times Youth mental health and suicide prevention provided the motivation for South Gippsland Shire councillor Clare Williams to swim 1000 laps of the pool at Leongatha’s SPLASH centre, taking part in LAP it UP, an initiative of Youth Live4Life.

We've been working together to launch Live4Life in Gippsland's Bass Coast and South Gippsland Shires remotely since last year. Today we all finally got together in beautiful Inverloch.

Live4Life Bass Coast and South Gippsland launch Mental Health First Aid instructor training for local community members interested in training as Teen and/or Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructors.

Georgie loves working with people on projects that can make a difference. Based on a rural property in Bass Coast, Georgie brings extensive partnership and project management skills and great knowledge of the education sector to her role as the Live4Life Coordinator for Bass Coast and South Gippsland.

Sara Cogo has dedicated her professional career to supporting and working with young people and their communities. Based in Gippsland, Sara brings a wealth of experience working in partnerships with government and non-government organisations and has extensive skills in community building and creating lasting change in rural communities.

As students return to the classroom for their third year of learning in the midst of a pandemic there is a real and immediate need to focus on the mental health of young people in our community, this is where Live4Life comes in.
