Live4Life Glenelg celebrates the achievements of 2023! On October 27, the 43 Live4Life Crew members from Years 9 & 10 plus Year 8s from across the Glenelg Shire got together for their annual Celebration event.

Over 220 people from all over the community attended the Portland Civic Hall and Portland Foreshore to see our amazing 2023 Glenelg Crew present their speeches and celebrate the graduation of our 20 Year 10 Crew members.

What an absolute delight to recognise the work and enthusiasm of this fantastic collection of young people who have dedicated yet another year to spreading positive mental health messaging and reducing stigma! Congratulations to the Live4Life Glenelg Partnership group and schools, who all put in immense effort throughout the year.

And a HUGE shout out to Youth Development Officer Jesse Beavis who organised her last Live4Life Celebration event. Jesse has been a significant contributor to the Live4Life model in Glenelg for three years and will be very much missed.

Glenelg Crew have raised over $300 towards Youth Mental Health at their events and activities this year. Crew members have undergone huge growth following their 2023 theme of ‘Don’t be a bear, know others care’, demonstrating immense confidence and really stepping into their leadership role. We look forward to seeing what 2024 holds!
