A big thank you to father and daughter team Sean and Kirsten McKinney for hosting the Swim 2866 event at the Gisborne Aquatic Centre. The aim was to run a continual relay and swim 2866 laps of the Gisborne pool and raise awareness about youth mental health and suicide. 2866 is the number of Australians that suicided in 2016. Over 5,500 laps were swum on the day and close to $5,000 raised. A huge thank you to Kirsten and Sean and everyone that took part on the day. A massive achievement.
