Potholes to Possibilities! This was the wonderful theme for the Rural Youth Sector Conference 2023, organised by Youth Affairs Council Victoria, held in Bendigo last week.

Alannah Sander, Live4Life Youth Engagement Worker, and Laura Crozier, Crew4Life member, took part in a great session — Pathways from Participation — which explored the transition from Live4Life Crew to Crew4Life, and the life, study and work pathways youth 'alumni' can pursue and how to help get them there.

The other inspiring panellists were Steph Hartshorn and Ella Jacobsen from YouThrive Victoria, Chloe Rheinberger from UN Youth and Jun Bin Lee from Disability Pride Starts Here, YDAS.

The atmosphere and energy at the conference was uplifting and it was lovely to be in a room full of passionate and likeminded people in the youth sector. It was the chance to celebrate young people, while talking about the key challenges that young people are currently facing and discuss possible solutions.

We heard a quote at the conference — "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together" — a great take-away that tied in with the conference's theme and the work Live4Life does. Thanks to the conference organisers for making us feel so welcome!
